As a technical writer with Red Hat you'll learn to manage documentation projects and be accountable for delivering effective end-user documentation that clearly explains complex topics and makes complicated tasks simple. You'll also get training toward highly valued Red Hat and JBoss technical certifications. In short, you'll be on the path to becoming a professional technical writer.

At Red Hat “cloud computing” is more than just a buzzword. We are busy developing some of the most innovative and exciting cloud-based technology products in the world, and we need you to help us produce the best documentation. 

Primary Responsibilities
 
* Work closely with the cloud technology engineering teams to produce and maintain high-quality documentation for Red Hat cloud products
* Master use of our internal documentation toolchain, including Publican, Subversion, and DocBook XML
* Participate in training activities to achieve Red Hat or JBoss certifications.
 
Job Requirements
 
* Training or experience in writing technical content for end-users, including reference manuals, whitepapers, user guides, and design specifications.
* Training or experience working with virtualization, or other cloud-based technologies.
* Bachelors degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (convince us in writing!)
* Knowledge and experience with open source and Linux is highly regarded. Let us know what open source projects you've contributed to.
* You will be asked to sit a writing test before being considered for this role. The test covers basic punctuation, grammar, and spelling, and other writing skills that good technical writers require, and you will be given a time limit to complete the test. Don't stress out about it, we do this to make sure that our writers can actually, well, write.
