Aquiba brings smart water meters to Australia

23-Feb-2011 Aquiba, a smart water technology company, has launched its new Australian offices at the Innovation Centre. The joint venture between UK based metering technology specialist Sentec and Japan based engineering company Takahata Precision aims to address the need for smart metering in the water supply chain.

Aquiba’s first product, the A200 smart water meter, allows accurate measurement of water even at low flow rates and can provide frequent readings to enable households and utilities to manage water usage efficiently. It provides a number of technological advantages, including leak detection, and has no moving parts, preventing jamming and reducing wear.
