Lunchtime seminar teaches how to lead in sales

The gap between good and great sales teams and its importance to small business will be explored at the University of the Sunshine Coast Innovation Centre’s next Boardroom Briefing.

Guest presenter and Managing Director of Objective Assessment, Gary Delbridge will outline strategies behind effective sales training in his lunchtime presentation ‘Leadership in Sales’, 12pm-1.30pm Thursday 25 August.

Innovation Centre CEO Colin Graham said the business development program is designed to build the leadership skills of entrepreneurs and small business owner/managers in areas of recruitment, business ethics, marketing strategy and sales force training.

At Thursday’s seminar Mr Delbridge will offer guidance on developing a more strategic approach to recruiting and training sales staff.

Mr Delbridge has an extensive background in global strategy and development, working with world-class brands across a range of industries, including banking and software development.

University students with an interest in business or entrepreneurship also are welcome to attend the workshop at no cost, to build their knowledge and connections.
