OMC Connect shares industry insights with USC students

11-Aug-2011 Innovation Centre client companies are continuing the trend of sharing their wealth of knowledge and practical insights with University of the Sunshine Coast students.

Technology and Innovation in Tourism, Leisure and Events Management (TSM313) students were fortunate to have Russell Bullen, OMC Connect Director, guest lecture at their end of semester presentations, for the second year in a row.
 
A regular guest lecturer at the University, Mr Bullen returned to speak to the students, as well as community and business representatives also in attendance, on his tips for e-marketing and how social media tools can best be used for local businesses. 

Lecturer in Tourism Vikki Schaffer said “as well as being very interesting and informative, Russell is really engaging and funny. A great combination for imparting essential and relevant information”.
 
Ms Schaffer said she was looking forward to Russell returning the following year, having been such a success the previous years and a real hit with students.

The Innovation Centre regularly contributes to the teaching and learning of USC students with over 11 company directors presenting guest lectures to approximately 400 students this year.
