Susie Chapman awarded 2010 QLD Landcare Award

We would like to congratulate Susie Chapman, Community Partnerships Manager, SEQ Catchments awarded “Australian Government Facilitator-Coordinator Award” at the 2010 QLD Landcare Awards held at Government House.

Susie Chapman is widely respected as a natural resource manager and landcare facilitator, having spent the last 20 years tirelessly supporting and connecting Landcare, catchment and community groups across the Sunshine Coast region. She has built meaningful and enduring partnerships with private landholders, traditional owners, industry bodies, government agencies, water authorities and research organizations – which have led to increased uptake of sustainable agricultural practices across the region.

SEQ Catchments is a community-based, not-for-profit organisation helping to build a sustainable community that cares for and values the natural resources and biodiversity of South East Queensland, and that recognises the impact of personal and collective actions on the environment.
